A few years ago I was approached by a very peculiar human being named Patrick Fagerberg with an incredible story. Patrick's head had been struck by a 400 lbs camera crane during the famous SXSW festival in Austin, Texas in 2011. Patrick's traumatic brain injury affected every aspect of his personality, forcing him to resign from his dream job as a very successful criminal attorney. Surprisingly, his injury also unleashed inside him new artistic talents that he had never had before, allowing him to transform himself into a celebrated painter that is now represented by one of the most prestigious art galleries in Texas.
Patrick reached out to me seeking EMDR treatment a few years ago. Upon working together he let me know about a film project that he had been developing with a local filmmaker named Sergio Carvajal-Leoni. Both Patrick and Sergio thought that it would be a great idea if I participated in the project, not just as a guest, but as an actual protagonist of a documentary-narrative hybrid feature length movie!
I will provide more updates on this fascinating project as it continues on developing.
